Now Playing Tracks

Sweaty Saturday

Phew, a hot and sunny saturday it was. Fixed up my fence painting fuck-up (wife now happy). Wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Then went to the park with my 5 year old daughter. Took my unicycle and a good go. My legs were buggered. Met some friends there and even practiced some hanstands. Ended the day at my sister’s for dinner. Wifey needed us out of the house so she could do some work. So now I’m home and tired.

Kitesurfing - update

Just thought I’d let you guys know - the kitesurfing was a bust. The wind too light, but I went anyway and when I pumped up my 12m the outlet valve blew…Yip, the saga continues. :) - At least it’s been  fixed, picking it up tomorrow from the shop.

If you’re ever in Auckland, NZ and new a kite repair - Kiteworks.co.nz, Perrin’s the MAN. Work quality is superb. He’s patched up several of my kites and a fantastic job every time!

Busy week

Last week was a busy one, I can tell you that! – Phew –  Decided to get back to Tae Kwondo after a 3 week laps (busy dogs/kids/wife/etc etc) and also went to my daughter’s gymnastic hall for an adult session with a friend. Lots of fun, managed to do some lame backflips on the trampoline and ripped-off 3 calluses on my hands went we were swinging on some bars. Should’ve taken care of them beforehand but lesson learned. Also pulled a muscle in my neck, which I aggrevated when I went to TKD on Wednesday night.

Took Thursday off to go kite-surfing because I was getting really desperate for a session, but the forecasted wind let me down and was reeeeaaaally light. Not that that stopped me, I’d just use my biggest kite and biggest board. Yeah! And then when I pumped up my newly repaired kite, the outlet valve blew…yip, as in fuckyouImnotflying kind-of blew…sigh, more repairs. At least it was a nice day out.

Didn’t make it to Crossfit on Friday morning – neck too sore, couldn’t move properly. The rest of the weekend was busy with kids gym, kids swimming, house cleaning and oh yes, we got Just Dance 4 for Wii and spent a few hours doing that. I really suck at that game.  Which is really depressing, as I really love music and dancing. Can watch people who can dance for hours, enviously… Unfortunately even my 5 year-old daughter kicks my arse in the game. Too stiff, joints don’t work, blah-blah-blah. Go and practice your ukulele and guitar instead. Depressing…

Let’s hope this week is a little bit easier…
